The northern region of Pennsylvania consists of the main towns of State College, Williamsport, Bradford, and Warren. Smaller well-known towns in northeast Pennsylvania include Montrose, Tunkhannock, Bloomsberg, Muncy, Danville, and Lock Haven.
Popular events include Art In the Wilds, held in late June annually at Evergreen Park in Kane (www.artinthewilds.org) and the Centre County Grange Fair & Encampment, held in late August annually at Centre Hall (www.grangefair.net). The Pennsylvania Military Museum in Boalsburg is a popular ongoing attraction you’re sure to want to visit (www.pamilmuseum.org).
The southern region of Pennsylvania consists of the main towns of Altoona, Johnstown, Huntingdon, Harrisburg, York, Lebanon, Reading, and Lancaster. Smaller well-known towns in southern Pennsylvania (include Bedford, Lewistown, Breezewood, Chambersburg, Carlisle, Gettysburg, Hershey, Mahoney City, and Pottsville.

The western region of Pennsylvania consists of the main towns of Erie, Pittsburgh, and New Castle. Smaller well-known towns in western Pennsylvania include Titusville, Beaver Falls, Monroeville, Uniontown, Waynesburg, Latrobe, Butler, Kittanning, Franklin, Sharon, Hermitage, and Mill Run.
Popular events include the Twilight Tour of Fallingwater, held in late August annually at Mill Run (www.fallingwater.org) and the Fireworks Festival, held annually in early July in New Castle – the fireworks capital of America (www.fireworkscapitalofamerica.com). Pittsburgh is known for its delicious handmade perogies, so be sure to have some authentic perogies if you visit Pittsburgh!
